Iolite Bracelet with Dorje Clasp and Alpaca Silver Om Charm, 8mm

It may not be lapis but it is still beautiful. You better learn some Buddhist mantras if you wear something like this. After all, you're going to have a dorje or vajra on your wrist which is a thunderbolt the likes of which Thor might wield if you have the spiritual power to generate it. Then there's the Om dangling down from the vajra.

At the very least, learn this: Om Mani Padme Hum.

Contrary to what its name suggests, alpaca silver has nothing to do with alpacas or silver. It is based off a Chinese formulation of nickel silver (a type of copper alloy containing nickel and zinc) named paktong, translated in English to “white copper.”

The designer of this wonderful collection is Andrea Layton. Back when many of us were hippies, I wanted to go to Kathmandu and around the world.  I made it as far as California. Andrea followed her dreams and wound up in Bali and Java for 25 years. There with Javanese craftsman she precipitated these unique designs. We particularly like her Tantra collection inspired by Tibetan influences. She brought Kathmandu to us.
