Tingshas are pairs of hanging cymbals, connected by a little strap. Tingshas are used in Buddhist ceremonies to summon the hungry spirits to collect offerings. These little cymbals are also used in terminal care, to communicate with the spirit of a dying person, and to exorcise wicked spirits from a house where someone recently died.

Tingshas have been used during meditation for centuries. Their beautiful vibration calls for our awareness to focus on our inner being and achieve spiritual growth.

These cymbals have been carefully crafted using the ancient Tibetan method of sand-casting. After the casting process each pair are individually hammered around their outer rim until they produce an identical pitch. The better Tingshas use several metals to get a better harmonic tone. These uses 7 metals.

This large size Tingsha is beautifully carved with 8 Auspicious Tibetan symbols called Asthamangala believed to be 8 good luck symbols. It has an antique looking color and produces a great sound best for sound meditation or healing.
