It all began with a dream that Mark Prophet carried with him like a gold coin in his pocket. The founder of The Summit Lighthouse always envisioned creating an Ascended Master University. And indeed, he did. In 1971 in Santa Barbara, California, the school opened its doors for the first time.
But then the unexpected happened. Mark passed suddenly, leaving his beloved wife, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, to keep his dream alive. Elizabeth ran with Mark’s dream, creating a unique spiritual school of true higher learning. In the decades to follow and up to the present day, thousands have come to bask in the teachings of the ascended masters at what is now known as Summit University.
Today, SU hosts seminars around the world in a half dozen languages, offers a wide range of timeless and timely academic courses and self-study modules, and is a trusted repository for a treasure trove of sacred mystery school teachings the masters brought forth over decades.
