We are pleased to introduce our new 2023 PDF download of the Religious Instruction for First Holy Communion for Church Universal and Triumphant. This PDF includes a 13th lesson and provides necessary instruction on the purpose of the First Holy Communion service as well as various rituals and devotions, which can be some of the most meaningful spiritual experiences in a child’s life.
Receiving First Holy Communion is the second sacrament of the Church, and this instruction is designed to prepare children of Communicants and Keepers of the Flame, and adults, to receive this blessed sacrament. It was written for children who must be at least seven years old by the time they are ready to receive the sacrament. Of course, older children and adults are welcome to take the course, and often do. The program provides necessary instruction on the purpose of the First Holy Communion service, and on various rituals and devotions.
This course is rich in content and many components are offered. These include the instruction book with over 250 pages containing thirteen interactive lessons with teaching instructions; large color illustrations of the chakras at the end of Lesson 13; goals; rituals; stories; songs; activities; color illustrations for framing; photocopy masters of all materials for the children’s notebooks, such as review sheets and coloring sheets; parent handouts; information on parent meetings; an option for the child to meet with a minister; and preparations for the ceremony. Also included are the booklet titled Who Is God?; a song booklet; a CD of songs that are sung during the lessons; and a beautiful certificate.

We recommend teaching the course in person to children and young teens and completing it and the sacrament ceremony in a continuous timeframe of about 4 months. The instruction should be within a month of the ceremony. This is for the best personal and spiritual experience that is so important. Older teens and adults may want to join a class or study the material on their own.
